story number four, MIYUKI, was just selected as a short film to new directors/new films which is co-presented by moma and the film society of lincoln center! screening dates to follow. Thanks to those who were able to contribute to the February fundraiser, we are moving ahead with stories four and five of CASUAL ENCOUNTERS - JOSE and MIYUKI respectively. Casting is nearing completion as we gear up for shooting shortly. We will be in need of location manager or production coordinator, a Production designer and PAs. Come down to Bar 13 on Saturday, February 27th from 7:00-10:00pm. We'll start with 2-for-1 drinks, have some chitchat, screen HENRY, (story #1 of the five-part feature CASUAL ENCOUNTERS), screen JULIA (story #2) and end with a rousing performance by one of the bands that is featured in the film, My Teenage Stride. We'll also have a visit and short set by DJ Kevington who has great taste in music and DJs Mondo NYC.

We have a nominal, suggested donation of $10-$20 which, if most chip in, will bring us to our modest goal to allow us to shoot story #3, JOSE. Of course, if you'd like to be a superstar and have the deep pockets for it, you can donate more to allow us to shoot stories four and five to complete the feature. Any donation will give you a "thanks" credit but donations of $750 and more will give you a producing credit.

HENRY was chosen to be aired on Channel 13, NY's PBS station, on Saturday, May 17th at 11:10pm! In July, HENRY will be aired on ImaginAsian TV - an all Asian themed cable channel. 21st Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival
HENRY was just accepted to the 21st edition of the festival and will be playing on Closing Night on June 7th at 730pm in Cinestudio (the gorgeous 1930s styled movie theater on the Trinity College campus). about the director
will has been making short films for over a decade. a graduate of columbia's mfa program in screenwriting and directing, he's made numerous short films and low-budget music videos that have played festivals nationally. he is currently the producer of film programs at the picture house, programmed events for the film society of lincoln center for many years, has analyzed scripts for the tribeca film festival, artisan entertainment, and the late alan pakula and has served on the selection committees of a few ifp markets, the asian american int'l film festival and several grand marnier film fellowship awards. currently, he has a script optioned with writer/director/producer george lavoo (a dog year, real women have curves), has other scripts in the works and is working hard to get the feature casual encounters complete.
